Linda Lamb
The Schroeder Area Historical Society has lost one of our founding members, Linda Lamb. Linda Marie Lamb, nee Lawrence, 79, of Schroeder MN, passed away peacefully on May 22, 2024 in Duluth, MN. Linda was born on September 17, 1944 to Thomas Donald and Dorothy Lawrence in North St. Paul, MN. She met her husband, H. A. “Skip” Lamb while attending nursing school in Duluth, MN. Linda and Skip moved to Schroeder shortly after to raise their three children and operate Lambs Resort. Linda was instrumental in founding the Cross River Heritage Center with the help of others in the community. Linda and the Board of Directors were successful in receiving a gift to remodel the Heritage building. Her dedication to the center included serving on the board, grant writing, archiving, and publishing the newsletter for twenty years. She was a joy to be around, and her presence will be missed here at the center as well as in the community. Thank you for everything that you helped us with here, Linda. Our heartfelt condolences go out to her friends and family members.
