TRAVIS NOVITSKY

Travis Novitsky is a Northeast Minnesota Nature Photographer with a passion for the night sky. Travis is an Ojibwe from Gichi Onigaming Anishinaabe Nation. Travis was born in Grand Marais, Minnesota. Travis now resides in Grand Portage, a Reservation on the shores of Lake Superior. The subject matter of his work includes wildlife from lakes, rivers, and the boreal forest. His images of the night sky are absolutely amazing. His ability to portray the beauty of the world around us in ways that we might not have seen is unsurpassed. He brings the viewer on an adventure with him as he shows us the beauty of the natural world around us in his unique way. There is a sense of calmness and peacefulness in his work that is very deliberate. He helps the viewer understand the importance of being in the moment and taking in the beauty of the world around us. Travis is self-taught, and though most of his work is from the area, he also has other images from his travels and adventures.
